Early Mornings, Late Nights.

Yesterday, I took my last final of the fall semester.  I am so happy.  This semester was one of my hardest semesters to date.  Now it’s time to relax. Kinda. I’m torn between catching up on sleep and finally being able to see some friends but this is also a great time to get so more hours at work. Lets just say money’s been a little tight lately and I could use the hours. Also getting myself into that car accident a few days ago isn’t really helping my cause.

Since, it’s holiday season, the mall hours have been extended.  The only advantage of waking up at 5 am on a daily basis for school is that it’s not that any different when I have to be at work by 8. That at least should count for something.

Above are two Snapchats I took over the past weekend.  This weekend was – for a lack of a better word, H.E.L.L.

I will never understand why people are so rude to employees that work in retail stores.  This is coming from an employee who always tries to have a smile on her face even after being there for over 10 hours.  Please. Be nice.

So here’s to a good winter break! My last winter break! Oh wow. That’s a big worrisome.  I don’t think I like this “adulthood” life very much.

Can I get a refund?

  1. I enjoyed your post with the humorous liners added in. I too am a college student home from break and am conflicted on either working, sleeping, or seeing friends. It has been noted and I will make sure I am extra nice to those employees you are stuck on the early morning shifts like you. Retail stores must be hectic this time of year!

    1. Hi Friend,

For starters, thanks so much for reading! I’m so conflicted, I’m currently in bed on YouTube and eating chocolates. THANK YOU. Oh my goodness, working in retail has been an interesting ordeal to say the least. I checked out your blog, love the concept. I wrote about “How You Know You’re A Senior In College” if you want to check that out!

      Enjoy your break!

  2. I’m a year and a half post grad, and adulthood is no fun. I waited tables through college and for a while after (I finally quit in October!) so I know the feeling you’re having. I’m always kind to retail workers, servers, and the like. Enjoy your last winter break! (Or do like I did and work for a university where staff still get one!) 🙂

    1. Well that scares me a little bit! I’m actually considering working as a waitress. I don’t know how much longer I can take in retail. I just leave my shift so upset and tired.

Thank You! It felt so good today to sleep in.

      Take Care,

      1. Waiting tables is the same problems with people, BUT there’s more incentive with the tips. Find a great place with good clientele. You’ll make amazing money and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner! I quit because of bad management.
