Grab a cup of tea or coffee and some snacks, it’s story time!
If you’ve read any of my Music Mondays, it’s no surprise that I love country music. A few months ago I stumbled across a new young country artist on YouTube. Her name was Kelsea Ballerini. At the time, she was on her radio tour giving countless interviews and performing her songs on her debut album The First TIme. In the video, she was at Country 91.1 HANK FM’s studios. Instantly, I was hooked and the chemistry between the dynamic trio between her drummer (Jacob Simmons), guitarist (Josh Kerr), and her was an added bonus.
If you want to get to know Kelsea a little more, she has some vlogs up on her YouTube Channel .
As her newest biggest fan, of course I had to rush to Target to get her debut record. Yes, I still buy CDs but only for artists that I love. There’s just something about getting a CD and driving around with it and listening to one artist’s record straight through. I feel like that’s the only real way to listen to someone’s album to the fullest extent but that’s a story for another blog post. This isn’t about me, it’s about Kelsea.
One day, I jokingly stated how cool it would be if I got to see Kelsea Ballerini live in concert to one of my best friends, Roziny unknowing to the fact she was a fan as well.
Long story – short, Kelsea tweeted about some new show dates on twitter and Boston was on the list. Call it fate or call it coincidence, I knew I had to go. Christmas was also around the corner so I had the genius idea to get myself, my friend, Roziny and our mutual buddy, Monivan tickets to see her show.
This was my first experience at a country concert and it was a fabulous one at that!
Everyone from outside in the cold to the venue inside were respectful of people’s personal space and there were just good vibes all around.
Hailey Steele was the opening act for Kelsea and she blew it out of the ball park. Such a beautiful voice with a spunky personality. I feel guilty for not knowing about her sooner. You may not know her face but you may know her song. She was a writer on the song Boyfriend sung by Raelynn.
Then, Kelsea Ballerini walked out on stage. What a S.H.O.W.S.T.O.P.P.E.R. Kelsea, if you by some random chance reading this you are gorgeous. By the way, where did you get your romper, I want it!
Ugh it was amazing guys. I can go on and on about how wonderful she sang and how much fun I had but you just have to take my word on it.
It was such an experience to see and hear some of my favorite songs by Kelsea Ballerini sung by her like only a few feets away from me. LIKE INSANE. I CAN’T BELIEVE I WENT STILL. I may still be on a concert high or a concert depression. Who know?
All my love,
